Contemporary Tapestry Wall hangings & Fab Floor Decor

Over the years, tapestries have been undergoing makeovers in order to keep up with the ever-changing times. One such result of these makeovers is the creation of contemporary tapestries. These contemporary works of art are made using new weaving techniques and methods to produce modern designs and images. In the past, only a select, very wealthy few (think royalty, noblemen, aristocrats and the like) could afford this particular work of art. Now, with the advent of technology, these decorative wall hangings have become more affordable and accessible to the general public.

These contemporary wall decorations differ from the traditional or classic type in several distinct ways. First of all, they are completely different when it comes to the subject matter. Traditional or classic artworks feature subjects such as religious themes; period themes (like the Renaissance Period or the Middle Ages); Asian, Eastern or Oriental-inspired themes; castles, monuments and famous landmarks; crests and coat of arms; landscape, lakes and panoramic scenarios; romance; and mythology-inspired themes, among others. Contemporary wall hangings and dcor, on the other hand, feature subjects such as ordinary people, daily occurrences and happenings, modern cityscapes, abstract and geometric prints, and fantasy art, to name a few.
